Crawley, Horsham and District Table Tennis League
September 2011 Minutes
Minutes of committee meeting held on 30/8/11 at Holy Trinity School.
Present; Derek Flanagan, Alison East, George Gray, John Lee, Dave Edwards,
Brian Stevens, Joe Comper.
1. Chairman’s Address.
Derek reported that two subcommittees have now been formed, one for the central venue the other for the home /away.
£1600 of league funds has been designated to replace equipment when necessary.
There has been a good turnout at our practice nights at Holy Trinity.
2. Secretary’s Report.
Alison confirmed that Derek Bunday had been sent a letter to thank him for his kind donation for a trophy for the central venue and for his ongoing support to the league.
There have been concerns relating to pictures that are placed on our web-site it was felt that permission should be granted from the individuals to allow the league to use these.
3. Treasurers Report.
George presented the monthly Income & Expenditure statement.
The booking for Holy Trinity has now been made for Thursday evenings for ½ the hall for 21 weeks, this will help keep the costs down.
4. Allocation of Teams.
There will be 12 teams in the Premier Division at K2. There will be 11 teams in H/A Div.1. There will be 12 teams in H/A/ Div 2. There will be 8 teams in C1 at Holy Trinity. There will be no C2 this season.5. Code of Conduct.
It was agreed that the league will follow the E.T.T.A Rules on this matter. Complaints should be sent to the disputes committee.6. E-mail protocol.
Please ensure that you direct e-mails to only necessary parties. Always include a subject. Some people do not read their mail everyday so if it is urgent please follow it up with a phone call.
7. Ethics Code.
A ethics code was suggested but it was agreed that a Fair Play Award would be handed out at the end of the season to the player who played Table Tennis in the good spirit of the game.
8. A.O.B.
Please note that Holbrook cannot have access to their playing premises until 7.30pm.
Joe is need of bats and balls for development in local schools please contact him if you have any.
There is now an outside table tennis table in Horsham Park near to the Cafe.
The committee are looking for individuals to come forward to self organize the Premier league.
The County Mall exhibition will need to be reapplied for in October and hopefully a date will be available in January 2012.

Non members are welcome at Horsham Club on Friday evenings.
Next meeting on Monday 17th October. Venue to be confirmed at a later date.
