Crawley, Horsham and District Table Tennis League

About Us

Welcome to our Web Site, we are the Crawley Horsham and District Table Tennis League, and are now 62 years old; we were founded in 1949 and are still here. We are looking to expand and offer players both old and new the opportunity to play the great game of Table Tennis. The League currently has 7 clubs affiliated to it, more information on these clubs can be found under Clubs and Organisations. The League objectives can be found under Rules and Regulations, Constitution. We seek to offer choice as to how the game is played, for example:

Social Play

If you wish to play socially, The league has a practise and development facility at the Holy Trinity School, by the Cheals roundabout. The facility is open every Tuesday evening from 19:30 to 21:30, so if you want to come along and have a look or maybe even have a go you will be most welcome. Check out Clubs and Organisations, Holy Trinity for availability. The league will supply you with practise bats and balls, your first visit will be free and subsequent visits will be charged at £3. The league now has level 1 coaches available who will help you to get started.

Competitive Play Centralised

The league offers a centralised playing environment, ie all matches will be played at a centralised venue on the same night “Thursdays” and at the same time. For season 2011/2012 this will be the K2 leisure centre for our Premier Division and the Holy Trinity School for our Centralised Division 1 (C1). The season normally starts at the beginning of October.

Competitive Play Home & Away

The league offers the traditional Home & Away basis for playing competitively. A team will play half its games at home and half its games away. The teams playing in this environment tend to have 1 or 2 or 3 tables available. The League has two divisions playing under this arrangement and the season normally starts at the end of September.

Handicap Competition

The league also offers a handicap competition this is where teams can be drawn against a higher or lower ranked team, the handicap ensures that the competition is fair to all participants. Check out Results and Tables Shield Competiton for a report on the event.

Closed Championships

To complete the social and competitive portfolio we also offer a annual Closed Championships, the 2012 tournement is running on the 11th & 12th Febuary at the Holy Trinity School, Buckswood Drive.
