Free Lessons Were Provided Saturday, October 18th. Thanks Dan!
The Lower Shore Table Tennis Club at Crown Sports Centerth offered free mini-lessons (15 minutes) on Saturday, October 18th. The free lessons were provided by USA Table Tennis certified coach and umpire Dan Green. Dan is a two time U.S. Open Doubles Champion in the Over 40 and Over 50 brackets, and achieved a #5 USA ranking in men’s singles Over 60. He has played internationally in Veteran’s (i.e. senior’s) tournaments since 2006, with gold, silver and bronze medals among his collection of more than 350 trophies. Dan has held a USATT rating exceeding 2, 000 (Expert) for more than 20 years.

90 youngsters and a bunch of counselors tried out our new "Robo-Pong" Model 2050 robot, donated by Newgy, Inc.
Set the digital feed count at 12 shots each, moderate speed, right down the middle with two second intervals between shots, six seconds to change hitters (while the feed count was reset) and you can rotate players every 30 seconds. Done in 45 mins. (Not).
But fun was had by all. What the campers most enjoyed was watching their counselors try to hit the ball (increased the speed, shorten the interval, add side spin, add random oscillation over full table width - it was hilarious). Great machine. Come try it.
