Maidstone SA borrowed the red emergency van from DHQ and served tea, coffee and squash. Under the shelter of the SA gazebo many leaflets, Kid’s Alive, balloons and sweets were handed out and much contact was made with the public and other organisations. One of our young adults Nathan Cripps was a real sport and certainly went the extra mile and dressed up in the Kids Alive mascot outfit, Patch the Dog and took part in a mascot race. During the day, despite very high temperatures, walked around the field meeting the children. A really great day for everyone.
