STIGA Baja Outdoor Table

STIGA Outdoor Table Tennis

Rated 3.7 out of 5 by by Jeff Inconsistent bounce This product has the potential to be a great outdoor table; HOWEVER, the very first serve served from the corner I noticed a dead spot. It appears that STIGA has simply attached a 1/4 inch sheet of aluminum with a surface coating on it to a table top frame. While this appears to be done well, given its thiness, what this does is casue inconsistency throughout the table. Where there is frame attached to the undersurface, the ball bounces true and sounds great and where there is not the bounce sounds hollow and dead and the ball may rebound off the table less. Furthermore, the far four corners (typically where shots are placed and serves are given) are the worst. I am not an expert ping pong player and could overlook this drawback BUT at this price point I would expect much more. I recommend looking at the Kettler Topstar - if you look closely at thier design, the framing of thier table is actually not attached to the table top itself but to the OUTSIDE frame and nowhere on the surface. The Kettler also has a patented surface has a consistent coffered aluminum bottom with a resin core to allow for more consistecy in the surface. All outdoor tables sacrifice some of the trueness for outdoor durablity however if STIGA put a little more effort in the design they might have a good table on thie hands. Again - at this price point I would not expect this from STIGA. Disappointed. I am returning for a Kettler. BOOOO! STIGA December 3, 2015

Rated 5 out of 5 by J Great table My brother got this table for christmas and it has been great so far. I guess the other reviewers commenting about the bounce are professionals, because i consider myself a good table tennis player and i have 0 issues with the bounce or noise! The only issue we have with this table is leveling the two sides, which can be done with a little time adjusting the different feet, but we opted to just use clamps to hold the two sides together at an even height. Overall i definitely recommend this table after having used it daily for about 2 weeks January 3, 2015
